Hey ya'all, howz it????

I hope all of you are doing well. We just had the baptism for Ron J. this tuesday, it was so amazing!!!!! Ron got up and bore his testimony after he was baptized it was so awesome. Everybody was pretty much crying... They had a special musical for him where the 9 and 10 year old girls came in all togther and sang the song ,"I like to look for rainbows." Ron cried when he said how he felt the spirit when they all walked in and we all knew it was true, it was such an amazing experience. Ron is going to fly back to ohio and clear some stuff up this week and won't be back until october, so most likely i won't see him agian until i get off the mish. I can't wait to see where he is in a year. This sunday he got up and bore his testimony in front of the whole congregation for testimony meeting. We were all surprised, but it was so amazing. We gave him the priesthood in elders quorum. I still can't believe that a month ago he didn't even know what a mormon was. It is so crazy how the lord has watched over him and helped him find the strength and foundation he needed to overcome such a troubling trial. Gosh I LOVE MISSIONARY WORK!!!!!!
So about the new companion. HA HA..... Thats all i can really say. So basically the whole time on my mission i have heard about this one elder on big island who is so crazy and strange. He packs around like five oil vials on his belt , all the elders on big island call him "Quick Draw" because of it, lol..... He has a really nasally voice and he likes to build chain mesh for his knight armor. He works on it every night... He has been out of commission for like three weeks because of an overly infected ingrown toe nail. He doesn't really like sports or anything really but knight stuff and king arthur. So when i saw him carrying all of his luggage into the transfer meeting, i knew exactly who it was before i even met him. We all lined up and got ready for transfer meeting where president reads off who is going to be with whom.... And me being the lucky person that i am, i got called up first..... "Elder Street will be........... staying in Kaimuki Ward in the Honolulu Zone.... And his new companion will be..... Elder J....."The whole room like when quiet..... They all started looking at me and laughing. Elder ___ was pointing at me and making faces. Elder ____ kept laughing and pointing... I really didn't know what to think... lol, i was really scared from the way everybody was reacting, this couldn't be good, especially from what i had heard....But the lord knows what he is doing so i trusted in him. Everybody kept laughing and then i really started to feel so bad for j--- because everybody was like making fun of him, and these are missionaries playing the same stupid game in high school, making fun of others because they are different or because they do something different than the way they think should be done. It really upsets me that they were acting like that, like really. Who cares if somebody doesn't like to play football or doesn't like to do 'normal' stuff? that really bothers me when people make fun of others in front of everybody, especially missionaries!!!
Elder J is a little different, but its okay. He has a testimony of the Gospel and he loves to work. He is a little shy so i am trying to get him to talk to people and not feel so awkward, but he has a really good spirit about him. He is very humble, in fact he may be the most humble missionary i have met, he isn't arrogant or full of himself and he is willing to work. We don't have anything at all in common, but from day one in the transfer meeting to now, i can't help but love the kid, he is such a nice person... It makes me so mad when i hear other missionaries talk about how weird he his, i seriously almost can't take it, what have they learned on their missions????? But its going good we are working hard. I love being the one directing the work, j--- is a few transfers behind me and it always feels good to not have a prideful piece of a companion thinking only his ideas are good and that we can only do what he wants to do. I really like my new companion... Even if his hobby is dressing up like a knight and acting like king arthur......
I love ya'all keep working hard towards the temple, we are going to make it. I can't wait to call you on christmas. All the boys, keep on knockin on heaven's door, there are people out there prepared, work hard, it will fly by, don't take a single day for granted. I love you guys. Chan
