Happy Birthday Chan the Man

Hey ya'all!!!! What is it?????

Well, can't really believe here in like two days i am going to be an official adult, where in the crap did all of the time go in my life?? Gosh i don't like being old, 20 years is not good at all, i still feel like a little seventeen year old kid, it still doesn't seem like its almost a year out here in good ole hawaii. I can't imagine how you feel at 45 pappy, ha ha, jk, but it really is kind of crazy how life just seems like it keeps on ticking by, i feel kind of like Jacob when he says his life passed away like it were a dream, it sure feels like a dream for me now. Sometimes i will be knocking on a door and talking to some random person about the gospel, and it will hit me like a ton of bricks, YOU ARE ON A MISSION!!!!!!! I still can't get over it somedays, where did everything go. But i wouldn't want to be in another place in this entire world at this point in my life, i love missionary work.
That is so good to hear about josh and clint, and tyler, and cody. How is weston doing in the ole mtc??? I hope they are all ready for such a wonderful experience! I loved those doctrinal insights to the Book of mormon by Doug!!!!!!!!!! That must have been how he always had amazing quotes for the class, he wrote a fetching book that has quotes on every verse of the entire book of mormon, every time i read something out of it, it reminds me of doug and how much i loved his classes and going over to his house and playing catch with him and everything he did for me, he really was such an amazing man, i can't wait to hug him on the other side and tell him how much he affected me in life. I really wish i would've went and saw him one last time, but i guess i will have to wait.
I was reading the paper you gave me and the story about denae hoogs house! that is so sad! I felt really really bad, but i couldn't believe how the fire started. A tiny, insignificant nail, wore its way through a wire, until after 43 years it finally was the benefactor of a house fire which caused a family over $100,000 in damage and a huge problem for them at this point in thier lives... The second i read the story i couldn't help but think of our lives.... How many times have we done things that aren't inline the advice or counsel our prophets have given? Its not that bad, i will just change later. I only watched one R-rated movie, i just didn't pray for this morning or tonight, i will pray tommorrow and make up for it.... By small and simple means are great things brought to pass, and this scripture applies to good and bad works. Do you think that the nail a carpenter drove into the sheetrock 43 years ago, do you think that that man had any idea the effects which that one nail would have in the imminent future? That nail couldn't be more than a few inches big, and who would've even guessed that it was even near that wire, let alone be the cause of a fire... He didn't know the affects of his actions any better than the next guy off the street, but there are people and men called of God who do know what we need to do to dodge catostrophic problems dealing with our soul, which are far more destructive than a mere house fire.....
Our choices each day to follow the great mediator, or the father of death and misery, will affect our lives now and cause effects, universal in nature, in the prominent future. It may seem like something as small as a sheetrock nail, but the second that nail was driven into the wall it was destined to cause this fire 43 years later. Our choices now our destined to cause us eternal happiness or eternal misery, even something as simple as choosing to get down on your knees at night or to skip and let your face hit the pillow....
Let me rephrase that scripture out of the book of alma.... By small and simple "CHOICES" are great things brought to pass....
Everyday we have choices, let us remember that we always have freedom of choice, we will never be forced to do anything in our lives, that is an eternal law.... Let us be spiritually minded, looking towards eternal exhaltation, and not carnallly minded, sowing a future of death and damnation in the progression of our souls. Every choice we make either follows christ or follows satan, there is no in between... The choice is ours, let us CHOOSE WISELY!!!
I LOVE YOU ALL AND NEXT TIME I TALK TO YA"ALL I"M GONNA BE AN OLD TWENTY YEAR OLD MAN!!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!
